(1) The fault is manifested as: when the ignition switch of the diesel engine is turned to the ON position, all instrument indicator lights on the dashboard can light up, and when the ignition switch is turned to the Start position, the starter motor does not run. Check that the battery voltage is normal (26V). Short circuit starting of the diesel engine (i.e. connecting the positive power supply of the battery to the S terminal of the starting electromagnetic switch) resulted in the diesel engine being able to start, indicating that the starting motor and starting electromagnetic switch are normal.
Analysis suggests that if the instrument indicator light can light up, it indicates that the 00 wire of the battery output, the 101 wire of the ignition switch fuse, the 105 wire of the ignition switch, and the 308 wire of the electrical appliance are connected normally. Turn the ignition switch to the Start position and use a multimeter to detect that the voltage between line 307 and ground is 26V. When the driving control handle is placed in the center position, detect that the voltage between line 306 of the starting relay and ground is 0, indicating that there is an open circuit between lines 307 and 306. Upon disassembling the center start switch, it was discovered that its contacts were corroded. After replacing the starting relay with a new one and testing the machine, the fault disappeared.
(2) The fault of blown fuse is manifested as: when the diesel engine ignition switch is turned to the ON position, all indicator lights on the dashboard cannot be lit. Turn the ignition switch to the Start position, but the starter motor does not run. Check that the battery voltage is normal (26V). Short circuit start of the starting electromagnetic switch will enable the diesel engine to start normally. Place the ignition switch in the ON position, use a multimeter to measure the voltage from line 105 to ground as 0, and measure the voltage from line 101 to ground as 26V. This indicates that the ignition switch fuse is open. Upon inspection, it was found that the 10A ignition switch fuse connected to line 105 had blown. After replacing the ignition switch fuse, the entire machine was powered on and the diesel engine was able to start normally.
The fault is manifested as: turning the diesel engine ignition switch to the ON position, all indicator lights on the dashboard are powered, turning the ignition switch to the Start position, the diesel engine cannot operate. Cross start the starting electromagnetic switch, and the diesel engine cannot be started. At this time, use a multimeter to detect that the voltage of wire 304 to ground is 26V, and thus determine that there is a fault in the starting motor or starting electromagnetic switch. The resistance between the S terminal and G terminal of the starting electromagnetic switch is measured to be 0.7 Ω, the resistance between the S terminal and the MTR terminal is 1.4 Ω, and there is an open circuit between the BAT terminal and the MTR terminal. The above detection parameters indicate that the startup electromagnetic switch is normal. The resistance and insulation values of the relevant circuits for measuring the starting motor are normal. Check the appearance of the starter motor and no short circuit or burn damage was found. Checked the grounding condition of the starter motor and found that its grounding terminal was severely corroded by rainwater and poorly grounded. After replacing the grounding terminal, the diesel engine was tested and started normally.
